GUI and radio functions

Post by john »

Absolutely new here, and new to quad copters. Got a new bind and fly quad from witespy2 on ebay, and have to sat it is very impressive, and for the price, and my first one, I didn't have to figure anything out to build it. That being said, there is so much information, that it makes it hard to discern what to use, and so on for programming. I finally got the interface to show me motor movement with the stick (multiwiiconf-2-10), but I see no input from the right stick at all, and nothing from the rudder movement of the left stick. Using a spektrum DX6I radio. GUI will show ARM when I arm the motors, but no acc, bar, or mag active. My gear(aux1) and flap(aux2) do not show any indication of working either, but if I highlight L,M,and H on say the ACC, and write it, it will come up green. The only line that isn't flat when I run start is the bottom line that is to the right of MAG>

Any help is appreciated, and I know another new user posted in software (32bit) basically the same question, so at least I am not the only one confused......

Well after countless hours of beating my head against the wall, still no luck with the windows xp format I was using. If I picked the quad up and physically moved it around, it would show those movements, but still no pane in the right corner to show Yaw, and pitch and roll info from the radio.

I had tried earlier to use my mac desktop with Mountain Lion, and didn't pursue it figuring it would be more difficult, but low and behold I have it up and running. It see my radio (transmitter) and all inputs along with my two auxiliary switches.

Tomorrow is another day, and I will continue to press forward with this quest. What a great and frustrating learning experience.

I will need to figure out how to do that(post a screen shot), as I am using the mac right now and the screen shots would be from the windows XP laptop.

Did get the quad flying today and am impressed with how stable it seems to be. My skill level is the current issue, but hopefully soon, that will be a thing of the past.

From windows XP laptop.

Lets see if this works. Uploaded a photo of the GUI. Notice there is nothing for the throttle, aileron, rudder or elevator in the upper right "box"
As stated earlier, I did finally get it working on my MAC running mountain lion.

Thanks for any input or thoughts.
