Newbie wants fpv

Post by godwisper »

Got few months ago electric helicopters but cant get the grip of orientation. Just saw a friend of mine flying his DJI with fpv goggles and that got me into....

Am doing my research and for now I found these 2 items

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Crius-NEO-6M- ... 3021wt_775

And this

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... TX%5F.html

i will combine both to either a DJI F450 or an FY-X4 kit...

I have already a DX8 so what is needed to complete ? Is the Crius/gps boardeasy to install ?

Any suggestions ?

you need to learn orientation to run with the big dogs. if your trying to do fpv, a beginner really needs to be able to fly from 3rd person view before they jump into fpv.

one good thing about multiwii is you can use head tracking mode. which may help or may just totally mess you up.

As regards hardware are those boards ok ? At the moment I cant afford the DJI NAZA with GPS and so that is why I opted for that setup

You must learn to fly an RC Helicopter at all attitudes, nose in etc. There is no way around it, get a simulator and learn to fly the helicopter it will save you a ton of money. Become a good heli pilot first there are no short cuts. You have to be able to take over the flight if the controller is not doing what is expected, and that could be at any orientation.
