PID tutorial??

I really tried, but didn't undesrtand what is PID and what values I have to modify to get a more stable fligth!
Any PID tutorial that I can read?
Can somebody help me?

Trying to get my board going. Uploaded okay and everything seems to be working EXCEPT all PIDs are at 0. How do I set the default PIDs? Is the file boards.txt the file that configures this? Where do I need to place this file (or another?) ?

you need to click read before they will update in the gui
