Yaw issue v1.9

Post by Erazotropa »

Hello all,

I have a slight issue with my Quad.

Everthing works fine only my Yaw is still not rock solid after stick input..

When i lift the Quad the heading hold is perfect! no drift at all..
When i rotate with stick input and release the stick it takes a second or so to hold.. it is not a solid hard stop.

I tried to increase P to max of 20 and still this happens..

Can someone steer me in a direction to find this problem?

Im using A Crius Multiwii board with
ITG3205 TRIPLE AXIS GYRO
BMA180 ACCELEROMETER
BMP085 BAROMETER
HMC5883L MAGNETOMETER

Emax 2822 1200kv with 8x4.5 props
Turnigy plush 12A

Hi,

Try to decrease YAW D.
But to get "sharp" yaw response with quads, you need to tilt motors.

Hi thanks for the reply..

Well the strange thing is, when i connect my old KK board,, the heading hold is locked firm.. :S

Its hard to twist by hand..

With the multiwii board its very very soft..

The readings of the Yaw gyro output are the same as roll and elevator.. so I think the gyro sensor inside the ITG3205 is ok.
