HK MultiWii Pro and MultiWii 2.3

Post by Seigfried »

Hi, everyone
I recently upgraded my HK MultiWii Pro from 2.2 to 2.3, and (in addition to a bunch of compile errors I've never had before), there seem to be no status lights, or PWM output. Can anyone confirm that the FFIMUv2 still works for this board? It worked in 2.2, but I can't get 2.2 to compile anymore, so I can't switch back. I've also tried the new dev release, r1648, and nothing changed. I also tried clearing EEPROM, no dice.

My settings are all done through the config file:
Copter type: QUADX
Board: FFIMUv2
MINTHROTTLE: 1090
MAXTHROTTLE: 1860
GPS: MTK_BINARY16, INIT_MTK_GPS, GPS_SERIAL 2, GPS_BAUD 57600

I would attach the config.h file, but I can't figure out what file types are allowed, .h and .txt are not.

Some more obvious details:
Link to HK product page: https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__26588__MultiWii_PRO_Flight_Controller_w_MTK_GPS_Module.html
I know there's no PWM because my ESCs (20A Afro's) are beeping the proper code for that
There is no output to either MultiWiiConf(Can't find serial port, probably linux problem) or MultiWii EZ-GUI, although writing data from my phone seems to work, and the EZ-GUI can find the max throttle values that I set in config.h

EDIT:
The GUI problems were my fault, needed sudo. The GUI can read data fine from the board, and the sensors seem to be waking up after calibrating, so the problem has basically fixed itself. I guess I just expected it to be like 2.2 where it started out with calibration data... Question, though, does the 2.3 not do LEDs on board, or do I have to define where they are myself?

Hi,

Did you ever manage to solve this issue?

If not perhaps I can help with the compile issues. I use Linux and have some experiance.
I could even compile against your config file and send the file to you?

Cheers,
Shaun
