Hello,
I bought the MultiWii Pro flightControler w/MTK GPS,(use arduino 1.0.5) and
every time that I try to upload the firmware to the Multiwii, appears:
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage():timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage():timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage():timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage():timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_getsync(): timeout communicating with programer.
I´ve used MultiWii_2_1_mega2_0_gps and MultiWii_MEGA1_gps
Anyone knows any solution, I´ve read about this in Arduino, but it´s
complicate for me.
Thanks...
Problems to upload Multiwii Pro flight controler
Re: Problems to upload Multiwii Pro flight controler
What OS are you running?
Do you see the communication lights on the FC flash?
Are you sure you are using the right serial port?
Make sure you plug in the FC before starting up Ardunio. At worst disconnect all connections to the FC other then the USB cable, the FC is powered by USB.

Re: Problems to upload Multiwii Pro flight controler
Hi,
I use windows 7 64bit.
The LEDs don´t blink when I load the firmware. I think that I load about 75% of the firmware.
I´ve changed the laptop and I´ve the same problem, push the reset before load the firmware and the same.
I read in the web of arduino that this problem could be caused by the size of the sketch >30kbytes (with ATMEGA2560). I reduced the size of the sketch 20Kbytes and the same problem...
I think that the problem is the ATMEGA2560, but I don´t know how to erase the info in the chip and write the new information...
I´ve checked the serial port, usb cable and drivers...
