HK Multiwii Pro 2.2 arming
Postby glasair200 » Thu Nov 14, 2013 7:39 pm
Have loaded mw 2.2 to my new HK Pro board. Almost everything is working fine, including gps. What is not working is the "arm" feature. I cannot arm with RIGHT YAW. With Multiwii Win GUI, I "force" the arming feature by activating the arming by checking a box in the unused auxiliary 3 section of "RC Control Settings". The motors run continuously and respond to throttle, but cannot be shut off without unplugging the battery. I have gone over everything I can find regarding ARMING, but cannot cure this issue. I might add....I have Calibrated ACC and calibrated the esc's multiple times. I am using the new HK 4-in-1 20 amp esc. I have tried their calibration procedure and the Multiwii procedure.
Obviously, it is dangerous to operate with motors that cannot be shut off from the transmitter.
HAS ANYONE HAD SUCH AN EXPERIENCE....WHAT IS THE FIX? HELP

Set stick travel from 1000 to 2000 and you'll be good.

Thanks for the reply. Not sure if you mean editing a line in config.h. If so, how does that line read?
One thing interesting.....I have the gear switch mapped to AUX1. In MultiWiiGui I have set LEVEL to the HIGH setting. If I stay in the low setting (box not checked), nothing happens with the motors and CANNOT ARM. When I move the gear switch to the high position, the motors start by themselves and still no ARM light. To shut off the motors requires switching back to low setting. ANY IDEAS?

I have the same problem.
Setting the TX to send signals between 1000 to 2000 you have to use " travel adjust " ( or whatever corresponds with your TX )
You should also set centerpositions to 1500 with " subtrim ".
I did it with my Crius AIOP board, but still I'm not able to arm with the stick inputs. I have a throttle killswitch that pulls down the throttle channel down below 1000, but still no arm.
But using stick inputs to switch telemetry pages on my OLED display works?!
I believe that the problem is related to the ESC setting ( using simonK option ) and other minthrottle/mincommand settings.
For now, I helped myself by checking the arm-option box when I also select "angle".
