how to configure com "port"

I am running winXP on a mac using Parallels. I cannot get a connection form the USB port from my board FlipMWC 1.5. Also cannot find board on any lists of MultiWii. How does Arduino fit into this?

Arduino is the programming code that multiwii is written in. You only need to worry about arduino if you have to edit config.h to change hardware parameters.
