Build finished! Could someone verify settings?

Post by SplitFire »

Hi! I finally finished building my multiwii quad-x and before I put the props on it, I was hoping someone could verify that everything looks OK in multiwiiconf. After trimming, I still cannot get all motors to stay completely in-sync, but I have read that I really need to have it in the air to really see if any more adjustments need to be made. Does that sound right? Do the motor readings look OK? I'm also unsure of what the graph should look like with minimal vibration. Does it look like I need to add more padding/dampening anywhere? The quad is currently sitting on a wood table with cork under each arm so it's probably not the best vibration surface to test. Thanks!

this doesnt actually tell anyone anything. Have you read the FAQ? Have you gone through each sensor to make sure they are going in the right direction? Also, after you click "start" you need to click "read" to read the PID settings, then after you make changes there you need to click "write".

How should be the sensor axis directions

TILT the MULTI to the RIGHT (left side up):

MAG_ROLL, ACC_ROLL and GYRO_ROLL goes up
MAG_Z and ACC_Z goes down

TILT the MULTI forward (tail up):

MAG_PITCH, ACC_PITCH and GYRO_PITCH goes up
MAG_Z and ACC_Z goes down

Rotating the copter clockwise (YAW):

GYRO_YAW goes up

The copter stays level:

MAG_Z is positive ; ACC_Z is positive

Well it does tell us two things, the motors need trimming and the rc rate is set to handle like a raging bull with wasps nest stuck to its rear, make that 3 things he has not got any i2c errors
