Flight Modes and FPV

Post by linuxslate »

I now have FPV set up and working well on my Quad -- Thanks to the MW and KV ODS Team.

I also normally fly in acro mode. I used to fly conventional RC airplanes, I have some real flight training, and my job is partially related to how things fly, so acro seems to me to be the "correct way things fly".

Stable or angle seems to be "cheating" or at least "artificial".

But I get the impression that most people who fly FPV do so in stable, or angle mode.

Am I just making things hard for myself by flying FPV in acro?

Does anyone else fly FPV in acro?

I just started to fly FPV in acro mode and boy what a pleasant surprise! It feels more natural if you don't have to fight the auto stabilization.
Let me put it this way: I'm sure you have seen a lot of FPV on youtube, the ones that you like the most are flights without autolevel.

SO... do it the way you feel more comfortable!

This is also the only mode I use in FPV mode.
Keeping the horizon constant is not really an issue when you have a camera feedback.

I used to FPV in horizon mode but have recently switched to acro.
Good tuning is key to any flight mode though

All the flying in this video was done in horizon mode.

And this all in acro mode.
