Using max props size ?

it is very easy to achieve stability with small dimensioned props .. and thus for the evident reason that the smaller the props the finer the granularity for thrust adjustment .

so i made a little test starting from 2S 8" and increasing the props .. 8" , 9" then up to 10" and 3S .. the max for my motors.

in all case the achieved stability is excellent without having to adjust the PID after each props swap

the only required adjustment when using the max props and lipo combo was with the throttle curve : expo 0.75 and mid 0.5 in my case.

and you ? are you using the max recommend props size for your motors ?

I personally prefer 14" props and use 3536 series motor. I am now looking into using 15" and larger props. I believe stability is in the eyes of the beholder. And when it comes to PID settings, no two copters will have the same. It is not a sign of how well a copter is built if it can use the default settings.
