Hi,
I have a Flyduino Quad, with a Flyduino FC board and a 10DOF Drotek sensor bob ( ITG GYRO).. Motors are KEDA 20-26M props gaui 8x4. V2 software.
Flies perfect, normally, no juddering on fast descent etc no pitching up, but at high speed, forward flight ( i.e. the quad is at 45 degrees) at near full throttle it starts shuddering. The props are very accurately balanced, no vibration from the motors.
I'm assuming it needs more PID tuning, It is still flyable but I would like to sort this out . Any advice please?
Shaun

Re: Strange Quad behaviour at high speed HELP !!!!
I would try lowering p a little first then if that didnt do it i would change those gaui props ! They are to flexible for high speed ! They start flexing and make gyro's react! I had that problem and i ordered some gemfan props and wow what a diffrence ! Also do you hardwire your esc to motor wires? I have seen connectors cause this also!

Hi Chris,
I've got some carbon props from Paul at Flyduino.. I'll try them....
That makes sense.. I have increased the power on this quad by approx 150 Watts . It didn't do it before and that was the only change.. The connectors are high quility, I'm 101% certain there is no problem there..
I'll try it and post my findings here.
Any other suggestions still appreciated.
Regards,
Shaun
