Been running factory 1.9 MultiWii code on a GLB Cruis SE board on a quad. RCTimer 28-30/14 motors, Turnigy Plush 25 escs. Run 3s and 4s 2200 packs. All runs good on the 1.9 code. Baro doesn't work good. Flashed to 2.0 and now throttle hiccps on 3s and is slow to respond but still works fine on 4s. When I say hiccups, I mean when you punch out, it seems to stall, picks up a little speed then stalls again. Is there something about 2.0 code that doesn't like 3s? I had a KK on it for a while and it had no problems with 3s. Same quad except for the board. I tryed putting the 1.9 back on there from the thread on RCG and it hiccups also. Not sure exactly what 1.9 Cruis puts on there. My buddy has the exactly the same problem on his quad when switching from GLB stock 1.9 to 2.0. Seems like a voltage droop issue to us. Tried high C 3s packs also, same on all. I've see some discuss erasing the eeprom, is that necessary when changing the firmware? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Sympster
Throttle is slow after switching from 1.9 to 2.0 on Crius SE
Re: Throttle is slow after switching from 1.9 to 2.0 on Criu
I think I figured it out. I just implemented the Low Pass Filter in the Config.h file. Started at 42Hz, still acting bad, lowered it to 20Hz, all good. Guess I just have too much vibration in my setup. I balanced the props on a magnetic balancer, maybe there're too flimsy, GWS 9050 tri-blades. GLB probably implements the 20hz filter in their firmware from the factory.
Re: Throttle is slow after switching from 1.9 to 2.0 on Criu
if you are down to 20hz, you have WAY WAY too much vibration.
How have you isolated the sensors from the frame?

Hello, I'm also experiencing throttle "hiccups".
My setup is tricopter, CRIUS SE clone board (ZMR), v2 software. I'm changing from a KK board to the multiWii one, and I get erratic throttle if P-term is too high and/or if D-term is too high. Current settings for roll and pitch are P=7, I=0, D=0, which is kinda weird. P=9 produces hiccups, as well as P=7, I=0, D=5 or 10. I didn't activate low pass filter
vibrations as seen on the gyro traces in the GUI are moderate
I may try the v1.9 to see if things are different...

try different props, also balance motors (very important!).
