VEL PIDs in LCD Config

Hello everybody,
unfortunately, I couldn't find any answer using the search function, so I decided to register and ask the experts:
Eventhough VEL PIDs disappeared from the GUI since Version 2.01, they are still present in V2.4's LCD Config.
Is there any function behind it or can it just be ignored?
