Multiwii not responding to right stick input

Post by Rusty105 »

OK, Playing with my quad in the snow (1/2") , yes bad, and now the FC will not respond to right stick input (mode 2). When I have the GUI open I do see that is is seeing input from the right stick, but it makes no difference in the motion of the copter. Yaw and throttle still work fine.

Any ideas???

Rusty

Also what is the best way to protect these from the elements?

Hi.
Try to reupload actual firmware after uploading the clear eeprom sketch from arduino examples. Its a strange bahaviour, maybe something went wrong with your settings.
I found the best way to protect hardware, are plastic boxes as you might use in kitchen. You may have a look here -> viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3201&start=10#p42147
I flew in snow, i flew in rain. I also crashed in snow. No problem for now.

Btw. would need some more accurate infos to get an idea of your setup.

Wich flightcontroller?
Wich firmware Version?
What mode do you choose to fly in? (Acro, Level, Horzion,...)
Did it hit the snow?
Do you get I2C errros in GUI?
Does your copter anyhow react to stick input on right stick?
