PID Global Survey

hello,

We have a public wiki , a dedicated database , we have a java gui that run on all platform that can export pid settings.

If we sync together, i can add "one button" into the gui to publish the PID settings to that database with the proper information :

- mwi version
- rc model type
- sensors present
- pid settings
- rc rate/expo settings
- weight
- dimension
- props size..
- freeform text element -> users can add other data and description

the database could only be populated from the GUI in order to limit wrong data and malicious user .

any suitable technological choice could be made in order to publish data to the database (mail, ws, http, rest, whatever ..) best practice would be to sync with EOS Bandit so the same feature cane be embedded in mw-wingui

a small web frontend would be required to browse and search the survey

we could propose the user the choice to import a setting from the survey directly into the GUI, so user can get the pid from the survey in a suitable format and copy/paste is not required .

what do you think, whould it be useful, a loose of time or a must have ?

edit : looks like a useful feature

cool idea. Especially when it comes to bug reports that would present a concise, consistent overview of some of the components and settings involved. Add a freeform text element so users can add other data and description and we are way ahead.

I think it sounds very useful. I would love to learn more about how different size and weight copters and their respective PID settings are related.
