PPM-SUM on Y6 is really mandatory ?

Hi ppl,

Even if I NOT going to use channels to control camera servos, It's mandatory to use PPM-SUM out receiver to fly Hexa or Y6??

I got one Crius MultiWii SE AIO board (v0.2 ) to my Y6 frame, but I only have a bunch of receives without PPM-SUM out.
