Need help with my multiwii!!

Post by tosjduenfs »

What I originally thought would be an easy project has turned into a frustrating chore.

I made a multiwii controller based on Ilmar's adapter board. Using toner transfer method I made my own pcb. I've soldered everything up and connected my Rx with BEC. The board will power up and the green led on the pro mini will blink five times over about 15 seconds and then nothing. When I try to arm the board I get nothing. I have my endpoints set to max but I still cannot get the board to initialize. Also I cannot get it to work with the config tool. If the pro mini is not connected to the board then I will get a straight line across the gyro graph, but when connected to the adapter board I do not get any response. I have it setup with just an original WMP. I've tried 1.7 and 1.8. This is my second attempt. I had already made one board, and then when that one did not work I started from scratch and completely re-did it. Still I get nothing. Does anyone have any idea what I could do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Mike

Well, not that I'm an expert, I'm a beginner myself, but I'd suggest you start by taking some high-res detailed photos of your board and soldering so that people may have a look and determine if everything looks alright.

I made the same pcb weeks ago and it is still working. Maybe we can help you if you upload some high resolution pictures of your pcb (both sides).

Hey Guys, I really appreciate the offers for help but I discovered my problem was in fact a defective WMP. I bought a new original at walmart today and all is good!!! I am a little bummed that I lost $15 dollars for my first wmp but I am so relieved that this thing is now working. Can't wait to get it in a quad. Thanks again.

Kind Regards,

Mike
