GPS and Multiwii (Atmega 2560)

Hi,

is there anybody that can give me some suggestion to separate the compass from the Crius_AIO_V1 using Multiwii 231 Software?
I would like to buy a combo GPS module with compass in order to place then far from power cables to avoid disturbances.
I didn't find in the code any place where to exclude the internal compass of the flight controller.
The flight controller compass used is HMC5883L. It seems that uou can't separate it. Right?

The internal and external compasses use the same i2c address. Only way to disable the internal one is by physically removing the compass or cutting traces.
