Cannot get Bluetooth to work.

Post by JollyGreyFlyer »

Good afternoon,

I have a CRIUS AIO board and a CRIUS GPS unit. It all works and flies.

I have an Android phone and tablet and would like to use the app via Bluetooth.

I have the module, however when I plug it onto the board (FDTI / S0), no light. Nothing!

Checked the model on my PC and lights flash, phone sees and 'pairs'.

Back to the MWAIO, checked the voltage on the FDTI port - 0.05V, it is this voltage whether I am plugged into the PC/Mac or whether Im using the flight battery. Did try extended power, same result.

Any help would be appreciated.

Dave

Connect bt module to serial port of your board after bt configured to 115200 baud.
No ftdi adapter between the rwo. But you may need it to setup your bt module from your computer.

Some FTDI modules working in 3.3 and 5volts using a jumber..
I assume that if this jumber is not used the VCC is probably close to zero ??
Just an assumption...

Sorry about that.

The modules connected are

Crius GPS v2 on serial port 2. Working ok.

Bluetooth on Serial port 0 (Labelled FTDI / s0)

The Bluetooth module is configured to 115200. There is no FTDI adaptor.

The jumper for extended power is in place while using the esc power. I have tried an external bec and removed the jumper. Same result.

I have powered the bt module fro the 5v motor pins and this has made the lights flash etc. but haven't got it to pair yet.

Again that's for all your input.

I have managed to pick up 5 v from else where om the board and it all works.

The Android mW config is only v2.1 so there are a couple of issues with switches.

Thanks for your help.
