Howdy fellas,
i've recently started building a quadcopter based on Multiwii. I've ordered Arduino pro mini and WMP+Nunchuck clones. Arduino+WMP is working pretty well - gyro response is seen on the wii config (curves are moving). Next step - i tried to solder my Nunchuk clone to the WMP according to the wiring http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1332876
However when i connected WMP to Nunchuk as in the mentioned scheme...not only nunchuk doesn't get detected, but WMP stops responding to movement too.
Problem is...my nunchuk looks slightly differently...so there might have been some soldering mistakes with the one i have.
I've attached my nunchuk's photo. If i understand correctly, the acc is XL335X.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,
Going to be building mine today using same nunchuck board. Will let you know how I get on.

Hi,
Sorry for delay. Still looking into this - doing the same as yours at the moment, but bringing my logic probe home from work tomorrow, so hopefully will manage to get it sorted.

Re: Nunchuck clone
Hi again, just looking around the net and found this -
http://www.board-portal.de/ArduWiino/image047.jpg
Wires coming from WMP going to Arduino:
Red (VCC) = 12
Black = GND
White (SDA) = A4
Blue (SCL) = A5
Full post is here:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1332876
Looks very much like our board. Will give it a try tomorrow.

Re: Nunchuck clone
Hi, No - still not working. Got this from another site. The guy is using the same nunchuck, but I haven't had chance to try it yet - xmas shopping getting in the way now
Hi!
If you use normal WMP as described in the oficial guide, it should work - check everything once more. It always works if the WMP or NK isn't defective.
If you have ITG3205 WMP, you could forget some of these things: (This is valid ONLY for directly connected ITG3205!)
1) If you connect ITG3205 WMP direct way, It's not WMP anymore but ITG3200 chip directly on I2C bus so you have to uncomment it in the confiig correspondingly (as ITG3200).
2) Then you can't connect Nunchuk behind WMP as normally, but you have to connect it parallel to I2C bus and uncomment "Directly connected NK" in the config.
3) You have to DISABLE internal Arduino pullups (as they lead to 5V but ITG and NK works only with 3.3V) and physically remove two Pullup resistors from the Nunchuk. (Usualy 2 teh same 1K8 resistors near of the I2C pins...)
Then it works too.

Re: Nunchuck clone
Hey!
I managed to do it..with the help of this: http://www.board-portal.de/ArduWiino/image047.jpg
The way you mentioned...i'd guess it works only with some WMP/NK clones.
