(I received no answer on rcgroups, so sorry for crossposting)
Hi there,
I have a Turnigy 9x with ER9x firmware, I'm using all 8 channels on the rx and was thinking about using PPM sum instead of individual PWM signals (it is connected to a flyduino board so less wires = less problems).
It looks like 9x original receiver has no PPM sum pin (correct me if I'm wrong), but the transmitter binds and works with HK T6A receiver (which has PPM sum).
Is it possible to get 8 (or more) channels from this receiver from the PPM sum pin? It's my understanding that the RX just passes PPM from the stream to the PIN, so it should work no matter what is encoded inside (4ch or 32ch), only the spacing will be different - and this can be set on the transmitter.
Can somebody please advise?
Thanks
Turnigy 9x + HK T6A - PPM channel limit?

Re: Turnigy 9x + HK T6A - PPM channel limit?
PPM Sum signal is generally what is transmitted over the air.
So, there is a huge probability that the PPM SUM signal you get is the one which comes from the TX => should be a good news.

bad news - only 6 channels are transmitted from the receiver
they do get a little garbled when I play with PPM setting on the transmitter, but the rx is reconstructing them
would be superb to get it to work
