Motor shutting down

Post by jevermeister »

Hi, (I already postet this at RCGROUPS but there was no answer)

Tricopter
Software: MultiWii 1.7
Board: Flyduino MEga V2
ESC: Mystery Pentium 30A

I have a strange issue. Sometimes when I arm the tricopter the Right Motor doeas a short hickup and turns off again.
When I hold the Tri in my hands with enough throttle to hover and roll him to the left so that the motors slows down and then roll it very fast to the right the motor hicks up and turns off and only turns on if I diarm and arm the copter.

The other motors are not doing this.
I am using unmodified Mystery Pentium 30A (the cheap Version not programmable). I heard, these are too slow.
Is this a ESC problem or is there something broken, why does this only happen to the right motor?

Could that be a too low minthrottle? Because it is only happening at starting and when the throttle decreases to almost zero

I want to have Turnigy Plush ESC but they are in backorder at HK :-(

it's either:
- a problem of ESC timing, probably not here because it's not configurable
- a too low MINTHROTTLE setting

Hi,
thank you fpr answering,
I will try to verify that. But shouldn't it happen on all motors?

I orderd myself a 4th Turnigy Plush for my Quadx, so i can switch Copters on the Fly just by switching the Controllerboard.
