Failsafe with spektrum remote receiver on flip 32

so i bought the flip 32 so i could use the spektrum remote receiver on my mini quad and just assumed that their would be some form of failsafe, but its not looking too good. so i figured i would ask if anyone has failsafe working with a spektrum remote

please note i'm using the serial out from the spektrum satellite as the direct input to the flip 32 not the full receiver.

MW code (and the port to STM32) has a Fail Safe option. This is enabled through CLI and upon loss of RX signal will set the flight mode to ANGLE (self level) and set the throttle to the FS THR value. Use the MW Config gui or Baseflight the setup the FS THR value. The other FS values (threshold and timers) are set with CLI.
