EZUHF PPM and multiwii pro ez3.0

Hey all im trying to figure out how to connect a EZUHF via single channel ppm to my Multiwii pro ez3.0. I have soldered on a pin header onto the rx1/+5v/GND holes on the board and that doesnt seem to work. Is there something im missing here do I have to turn something on in the code for the rx and board to "talk". Not sure if im supposed to be using the sbus header holes instead. Just dont want to fry anything. Let me know what im doing wrong, Thanks!.
