To reverse a motor you only need to change place with 2 of the wires to the motor you want to run in reverse.

Connect as my simple sketch.
2 of each.

Hello,

I'm new and also I've a doubt on how to reverse the connection to the brushless motor. I was quite sure looking at the scheme shown above on how to do that until I received my ESCs and brushless motors.
The components are:
"Hobbyking SS Series 8-10A ESC" http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=6455

"Turnigy 3020 Brushless Outrunner Motor 1200kv" http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=9378

The problem is that all trhee cables coming out form the esc to go to the motor are black. On the other side of the ESC I've the 3 pins connector (white, red, black) that have to be connected to VCC,GND and the white to the Arduino PIN and a pair of black/red cables that have to be connected to the battery for powering the motor.
So have I to invert the cables between the ESC and the motor like in the picture posted above and suche case which ones (all of them are black)? or have I to invert the red/black cables before the ESC?

Thank you!
Giorgio

Connect all wires between ESC and motor.
Connect ESC to throttle channel on reciver and start motor WITHOUT propellor. (Fingers are soft...)
If the engine run in desired direction isolate connections well.
If not switch place with two of the cables an test again.

Trial and error is the solution. ;)
