Wobble of death
Hi ,
my old QuadX with Turnigy Plus 25A was rocksolid. I htrew it into the air with motors off and started in mid air and it stabilized like a lizard.
But after I rebuilt the exact same copter with Turnigy SS18A This was not possible, If I bank to hard I had a woble of death.
I switched the ESCs to Hobbywing 18A (same as Plush) but I have still wobble of death.
I increased the minthrottle to 1300 with 10" Props now.
I noticed, that the throttle is quite high. Is it possible that is set too high to do a good stabilize?
MAybe the throttle bandwith is too small now?
Nils

Re: Wobble of death
much more likely that you need to tweak PIDs and LPF to calm it down.

Okay,
I read warhtox Post and ordered 5x Turnigy Plush 12A I jsut switched them and the wobble is gone, the copter is more aggresive and reacts way more direct to the inputs, it is more precise now.
I cut open one of the flyfuns and it was Hardware Version 4.0
Oh good I am so glad it works now.
Warthox is da man!

Re: Wobble of death
Nice to here your problem is solved, maybe your old ones become good (as it are atmel) after flashing them with Simon Kirby's software.

hi,
the Hobbzwing have SIL chips on it.
Ew I think flashing them is a lot of work. I am not that good with drilling microscopic holes and soldering wires one can barelz see >/*
