Cheap radio, will it work ?

Post by Mr.ChronoM »

Hi !

I'm really new to the RC flying world and mainly a 'programmer' that wants to try if he can get something in the air (safe if possible).
At the moment I have ordered/received most of the needed parts for a quadcopter setup and will start with the MultiWii.
(except for the fact I ordered the wrong props due to lack of knowledge ;))

So far the small intro. The question I'm struggling with is the radio, I'm looking for a 'cheap' solution to start. As I still don't know
if I will ever get a working thing. The info I found is only talking about minimum 5 channels and 'PPM' and what makes it hard, I
would like to order it in europe ...

Could someone have a look and tell me if this is going to work, simple wire it put and go ?
If not, is there some shop in europe where I can get the Turnigy that is used often around here ?

i´m Sure the radio will work for MWii.
I havn't seen the turnigy in any shops but on Ebay.
I considder it safe and easy to buy from Hobbyking.
Deliverytimes is usually 2-3 weeks.
The downside is the service if things dont work when they arive. :(

The plus side on that webshop I mentioned is the service and delivery times of less then 5 days :). If that one works I'll order it tomorrow to get that out of the way. Then the next thing is waiting for the delivery of all the parts :)

I have the Turnigy 6Ch TX/RX system and it works fine for my. Since I only have this one model I do not need expensive TX Systems. This one works great but I think not forever.

Your system is the same, If it is the v2 version you even have Summ PPM out on the RX.

Nils

ps.: Get the Flysky 9 Channel version they have in the shop this one is rock solid and worth the price and it works with the cheap receivers from flysky, eurgle and HKt6A.

I just had a look at the Flysky 9Ch, but it seems to be out of stock. I'll try a few more webshops today and try to order one. Thanks for the info guys !
