hello,
I wanted something in the A4 format when folded
I wanted something big enough to fly with a 3axis guimbal
i did not find anything that would fit this category , so I make this little drawing .. dxf file and more information
BOM :
1 meter aluminum 10mm, 13mm or 15mm
some m3 standoff
Carbon fiber , Fiber Glasse, G10, Wood or your preferred material
A Foldable medium sized quad that anyone can build

Thanks!
Just got some cf in that I was looking for a design to cut.
Nice concept, too.

Hi Trem,
I love the design! How does it fly..any videos & can you list the hardware you went with?
How did you cut the CF so perfectly..on a CNC? Do you know anyone who can supply a kit of the cut components?
I'm sure many others would also be interested. This would be perfect to take on trips as would fit into a large camera case.
Cheers..B

Hi,
You nailed it, i needed something well packaged, here are the build constraints
- Must fit within a hand luggage with all acessory ( tx included)
- Could carry a 3axis guimbal (bottom)
- Fly time must be well over 10min
I will add video when possible
for the hardware , it settle for this build with the classic combo for a medium quad , sunnysky + genfan + 10mm alu arm, that can be changes to match the expected model weight
here are a picture of the required parts , only missing the epoxy , some wiring and m3 nylon standoff :
Considering the constraint used for the design It flies as well as my others models , I did not spot any flaws that would make it a "no go".
There is however some unecessary renfort that break the aesthetic as spotted here :
If there is an interest for people to buy a kit of the cut components, one could send me a pm or add a post here. I shared the dxf file, so one could easily ask for a quotation to a "cnc" prosumer.

I've been recommended this supplier for cnc cutting.
They cut Carbon Fiber and G10 GlassFiber

DXF file to carbon or G10
I have not tested my self but from what i heard they are good and reasonable fast.
