Talon reinforced motormount

Post by o_lampe »

Hi,
I'm flying the hobbyking Talon hexacopter and I'm pretty happy with the lightweight frame.
But the aluminum motormounts seem to be too weak. They break or bend regularly, thats why I came up with a reinforcement plan.

The cfk-landing gear should be replaced by my modified version to connect to the motormount-reinforcment-plate.
I hope the pictures explain it all.

I'm not able to provide CAD data, but if someone would like to produce them, he will find lots of customers for sure 8-)
I'm just asking for a free set for my hexa for the idea.

Stay tuned, I just ordered the first batch of 3D-printed dummies.

I have the hexacopter, but the motormounts are the same. Very light frame, but the aluminum parts are kinda breaky.
