My new quad with GoPro. Anodized tubes.
Sparkfun 9DOF IMU.
Similar APC style Slow Flyer 8" props and GT2210 motors.
It flies good like a bus in the air.

No they are carrying handles, just kidding, it looks like it and a very clever idea, minimises any metal near magnetometer, looks quite professional really.

How big are these skids? Which heli size? From which material are the skid pipes made?

I can't remember the size of the skids. I'll tell you when I'm home. I'm waiting a sunny weekend to make some videos. It rains a lot these days.

I don't know the heli size. The skid is 12cm wide and 18.5cm long. Pipes are made in aluminum but they are really thin.

Measured skids that I have and
450 Heli skids 110mm wide (pipe centres) pipes 185mm long, skid mounting holes 45mm apart
500 Heli skids 145mm wide (pipe centres) pipes 240mm long, skid mounting holes 45mm apart
These are approx figures as one set of skids is wider at the back than the front, might due to plastic forming or bouncing on the ground too hard.

I can't see very good from the pictures, do you have the skids bolted to the arms of the quad?

No. I wrapped it by tape. It dropped one time but nothing broken. I've added some photos to let you see the tape.
