looking for local place in US for ordering Motors?

Post by BeringBullet »

I am looking for a local place in the US for Motors, have made some order from DIY and hobbyking but the shipping is getting old. Anyone know a good US dealing in the mutli-coper stuff.

witespy is located in clearwater florida, they are quick to ship and easy to get ahold of. decent prices too.

gobrushless is expensive. Dan makes the best motors for the price that you can buy, he hand winds everyone, uses high quality neodymium magnets is also very easy to get ahold of. and he sells kits fro handwinding your own motors as well as other parts like magnets housings, shafts, etc.

I have 4 10 amp go brushless microDan motors on my acro bird and they can lift 300 grams each, making this tiny bird really powerful.

For SunnySky motors http://www.buddyrc.com fast and competitive pricing, out of OH, I ordered Sunday got my 4 motors early Wed.

WiteSpy is not a good place to order right now, he's very busy and it's a one man show, if you can wait for 2 weeks go for it, but I'm in NC and the shipping is still 2 weeks :(

omg, that is so not true!!!!

expect 5-9 week delay/wait before they ship your order.. dont expect any updates or information on their website or on your order history page... expect no communications from paul, (the owner, sole employee)

the prices are ok, the products are ok, but the service or lack thereof isnt worth it.... avoid these guys.

hobbyking has warehouses in the us, east and west coast.. so the shipping costs arent too bad...but they too have a bad history, so good luck

Paul (whitespy) seems to have gotten much quicker on shipping. The latest reports (include order I placed) the order was shipped within a few days.
