am looking for a nice frame, i want to use 11" props on my aeolian 2830-850 motors.

anyone have a frame they want to get rid of, or suggestions on a good solid frame for someone who sucks at flying to play with?

Hi,

I am happy with my X525 V3 frame bought at GLB (http://www.goodluckbuy.com/kk-mk-x525-q ... optor.html) but after a small crash that broke one motor support I changed it (https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/r ... directlink).

Probably isn't the best frame around but it's good enough for my flight experience and fly's very well.

I am happy with my 450 size DJI clone (with 10x4.7 APC props). It is a very low cost frame so it's not a burden to buy an extra kit to use as spare parts for crash repairs. I have some details on my build posted here: http://www.rc-cam.com/forum/index.php?/ ... og-part-3/

The 'wheelbase' is 600 mm as indicated, they mean motor to motor. Right now I use 10x4.5 props but also have 11x4.7 for when I have more weight to carry.

Sismeiro, i cracked one of my motor mounts and went looking for a replacement (for now im using an almost perfect match piece from my broken frame that bolted right in place) and found this!

I'm planning on picking up a set of these, seems like a logical progression for any frame, but especially for this one. do you agree?

Hi Tovrin,

Since I bought my frame I knew that one day one of the motor mounts would be broken and that happened. What I did was simple, I mounted the motors in the aluminium tube using part of the original fiber support between them. Also I changed the landing gear since I didn't like the spikes and how it worked. You can see what I did in the photos.

The aluminium motor mounts that you indicated seem very nice and well made (also expensive) but I rather have my solution now. The only advantage I see in using motor supports is in the space between motors.

in the end i broke my mounts due to ESC calibration, i removed them entirely, and mounted motors directly to aluminum X that came with the motors, mounted X to aluminum frame directly, will be flying it tomorrow i hope, will update then. try to get pictures then too, still need to solder a bunch of stuff.
