Re: Altitude Hold improvement solution
I just flew R5 from Adrian on a Crius AIOP with Ublox 6M serial GPS. Remarks: -Alt Hold works as expected -Vario works also but some times has some bumps (tried throttle max and while rising the speed was not constant relatively) - The ALT HOLD position of throttle stick is the position in where ALT...

No, that Alt Vario test with Adrian's software is scheduled tomorrow, the day is too short
But as you well noticed, there is a basic Alt Vario implementation also in R1298 software. I have to test Adrian's more featured altitude mod before making a judgement about altitude vario implementation.

I just committed some rework on the HMC5883L gain calibration (init). The code is based on Fabio's FreeIMU code and I think this is as good now as it could be on this platform. Re: Auto arming motors and leveling when thrown
The code is in MultiWii Controller already, you have to define one option witch allows to arm copter with motors stopped and they will spin only when you rise throttle. If i remember the code is #define motors_stop . I tested the throwing and somewhere on yaw code is an overflow. Here is the video:

rssi on channel 2 is pwm signal. It is meant to be read by OSD or other pwm compatible device like FC. Ofcorse the rssi is coded in serial downlink also. I am not shure if i understood your question.

Using minimum hardware OSD with Rushduino firmware on multiwii is easyer than we think: For RSSI and voltage/ current indicator we don,t need to use the analog inputs from rushduino MCU atmega 32 and to hard-wire the board to battery and receiver.
