It sounds like wrong gyro scaling factor.... ...and it was fixed in _shared (a while ago) but not back-ported to stable 2.2.

But from 2.2 on MWII should (and normally does) auto-sense and than auto-configure module to proper settings if you connect TX and RX pins and select/use #define UBLOX in config.h (valid only for Mega2560 boards). Since ACROTRAINER only works in ANGLE mode, you can switch between ANGLE and HORIZON mode to disable/enable it (those two modes are similar in its behavior (eg. auto leveling)).

It is getting off topic but... Until you are scared to fly in ACRO mode you are probably not ready for acro... For acro you need completely different PID and TX settings than for normal "soft" flight (eg. highest P possible for your platform, TX rate > 1.25, roll and pitch rate > 0.50, TPA...

Edit: Just noticed you have ALL arm checkboxes set for AUX3 and AUX4 and that means that multi is ALWAYS armed!!!!!
Most use stick combination for arming so no checkbox should be selected for ARM.

In later _shared versions there is no more RCSERIAL define since that option is always active!
