Re: Altitude Hold improvement solution

@copterrichie: do you mean RC expo? I always fly with 40-45% expo, with BARO always ON, I feel smooth throttle, just that, no idea about ALT Hold :D. I think mahowik meant the ALT Hold for long time.

Re: 10Hz GPS thread

It's the same as previous ublox, just with new big antenna, eeprom. Looks like they follow EOSBandi solutions :P, just like the AIO board's usb re-inforcement. Cheap price, good quanlity and always try to fix.

Re: Altitude Hold improvement solution

@dramida: I've done the ALT tuning, and decided to stop at 3.0 15 10. It's similar to your PID, my tri now hold atitude very good, low 50cm, 3m or 20m. For the I term, it seems that at zero it's good, higher value like 20 30 I saw no noticeable difference except sometimes it loosed height slowly, I ...

I just checked and the actual values Alt PID are 3, 0.15, 7, i played a lot and i forgot the changes since it works satisfactory even in forward flight. Please see video and hear the engines when alt hold and gps pos hold are activated m Very very "beautiful" test-flight dramida! Were you...

Hi rbirdie! What OSD are you using? Very nice video but why you didn't try flying much higher, about 100-200m, I think the GPS alt is just for reference.

Never use AfroFlight so I cant help, why you dont ask this on AfroFlight forum?
For the BEC on ESC, you should remove all red wire and use an UBEC to power the board, or you just keep only one red wire from 1 ESC.

Re: Altitude Hold improvement solution

Hi dramida, thanks for your instructions. I've just tested tuning ALT recently for the method I read somewhere (maybe yours), yes luckily it's like your way, I put P&I at 0, and play with D. I increase big step to 30, it yoyo-ed , I decrease some steps downto 22, it looks fine. But I couldnot co...

The same as ublox 6m, but with eeprom for config storage, rechargeable battery, bigger antenna. I think it's perfect for just 4$ more :D.

Re: New RCtimer GPS Ublox Neo 6M fails to perform on Mega bo

I've tried many ways to make Ublox 6m works at the first boot, with EOSBandi patch for version 2.1, and here is the way I succeed : 1. De-solder the battery 2. Solder the pin 13+14 (just 13 and 14) 3. Apply EOSBandi instructions 4. After then, I mix some quadworker code. In the GPS.ino, UBLOX_init f...

Re: Need some help on Tricopter (yaw)

Esc(s) are changed to HK F-30A reflashed with simonk fw, what a difference! After PID tuning, my tri is super stable now, even it's just in acro mode

Some boring clips :D

Re: Quad Help With Tuning

Hi snowzach, with higher P, your quad will work harder to resist outside force including your stick control, so with higher P you'll find that it's hard & slow to move your quad. The P term is different from kit to kit, my Tri has no serious problem with 25 P, but of course it wobbles a little. ...

Re: Need some help on Tricopter (yaw)

Today I re-celebrate 3 ESCs (tur plush 30) with 2.1 code (ESC_CALIB_CANNOT_FLY in sketch), reduce MINCOMMAND from 1000 downto 900, increase max-throttle to 2000. The Tri now have more power, it seems to be lighter, I just can use about 40% of my throttle for taking off instead of 60% before. I reset...

Re: Need some help on Tricopter (yaw)

Hi Wilco, I mean the tri turns slow with stick input. Without it, tri is almost tail-locked. 0.1 I is a big high value. Btw, do you think that higher I will decrease the effect of P? For PID tuning, I do the big step, then I stopped at 8.5 for P, when it flies, it oscillates a bit, so I decreased a ...

Re: GPS on Crius SE board

Hi, I want to use both GUI & GPS, so the only solution with Crius SE is soldering an output port for I2C, and no need to use FC I2C-GPS NAV Module. Can somebody confirm that? Is sb using that method successfully?

Thanks!
