Re: MultiWii EZ-GUI

MultiWii dev version r1648 has the baro altitude issue, this is solved with r1649, please see here http://www.multiwii.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=4534 Thanks. It confirms my findings. This begs the question why r1648 is still avaliable for download https://code.google.com/p/multiwii/download...

Re: MultiwiiConf Graphical Enhancements

And perhaps you could give those of us who understand basics like compilation, but not java, a clue how to get from MultiWiiConf.pde to application.linux64/lib/MultiWiiConf.jar (for any OS specific variant of application.linux64). I'd really like to have a less ugly multiwii conf. Sorry about that....

Re: MultiWii EZ-GUI

I threw out the MS5611 code and used my own.

This afternoon I flew for 40 min and didn't have an issue anymore :)

Next time I'll pay attention to the GPS conditions in EZ GUI.

Actually MW doesn't use the GPS altitude at all.

If that is the case then there might be an error either in EZ GUI (which I doubt) or an error in the MS5611 Baro code!

Re: MultiwiiConf Graphical Enhancements

TOTALLY DISAGREE I read "amazing" thing here ... java = malaware ... what disinformation is this ! Java Plug In on a browser ... opening Java apps on the fly download and running .. yes this is possible malaware ... but have JRE installed in the PC is 100% safe ... Java is multi platform ...

Re: MultiWii EZ-GUI

I'm going to post this here as I'm seeing the problem by using EZ-GUI just because I don't know if it's a MultiWii code or EZ-GUI problem. I am using "MultiWii_dev_2014_01_14__r1648" on the QC. When I start up the QC and run EZ-GUI all is fine. I feel excited. The sexy sounding lady spits ...

Re: MultiwiiConf Graphical Enhancements

I also want to use software that does not depend on other resources. If I read correctly Baseline Configuration relies on Chrome. baseflight configurator requires chrome, but multiwii config requires java, which is known malware/spyware. so choose your poison. Well, then we should stop using Window...

This is how a screen shot looks like: http://www.leo.nutz.de/images/helicopters/forums/MultiWiiConf-1532.png It is named "MultiWiiConf-xxxx.png" (x = random numbers) and saved in the directory where MultiWiiConf.exe resides. Today I got the ALT Baro hold to work quiet nicely by playing wit...

Re: MultiwiiConf Graphical Enhancements

Please don't remove the 'close comm' option, as otherwise my computer hangs when I unplug the cable. If I hit 'close comm' then the program crashes, but at least this is more usable than an unresponsive computer. I think I should have been more precise. If you call up the GUI the "CLOSE COMM&q...

MultiwiiConf Graphical Enhancements

Everyone, The conf tool is no doubt an essential item on the Multiwii platform. Problem is that is looks kind of stale.... IMHO of course. I have therefore made some changes to make it look a little more appealing. - I've added the possibility for custom backgrounds. You can create your own and name...

Re: Possible solution for those with baro hold problems

Mine are made by muRata (10uF 16V 1210 SMD) that I found on eBay.

They are preferred because they have a better Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) rating compared electrolytic capacitor or even more so than cheap tantalum capacitors.

Possible solution for those with baro hold problems

First off I should point out that I just started playing around with Quadcopters (2 weeks as of this post) but have some experience with baros through this project: http://www.ALTDuino.de I have been reading that many complain that they can't get baro hold to work properly. While building my quadcop...

Re: MultiWii EZ-GUI

Bart,

2 weeks ago I flew my first Quadcopter.

Yesterday I received my bluetooth module, hooked it up to my quad, downloaded and tried your app.

Love it and purchased the upgrade to support your effort.

Thanks!
