Re: Throttle expo

Hi @alexmos. Yes, I realise that expo (around the hover throttle point) will greatly improve altitude control (by the pilot) when Baro is not active. (meaning, less sensitive to small changes to throttle stick, when applying yaw inputs) Would you share your code for throttle stick altitude control w...

Re: MultiWii 2.0 is coming

In Port Elizabeth, South Africa, I have to run the my 5883L gain set at 0x30, otherwise, I get "saturated" values like you report. You should always re-calibrate the Mag (after changing gain settings) by pressing CALIB_MAG in the GUI. Also, when calibrating, make sure that you turn the cop...

Large, slow moving props are quieter, and more efficient.... Your motor Kv of 930 is fairly low, so that is good! There are 750Kv motors available, so you could run 12x3.8props: m Also, you should sand/polish all the sharp edges off your props, and try to have "rounded" tips. (Be sure to b...

Sounds like a very usefull mod. I will try this soon too. Works fine!

Hi Alex.

I ordered this one, a few days ago, with the same idea of leaving it on the copter. (waiting for it to arrive...)

It interfaces specifically on I2C at address 0x78 (8-Bit address) or 0x3C (7-bit address)

Luckily, I found the "noise" just before flying! The trace of your 4channel receiver signal shows that the transition Low / High / Low (between channels) is very fast, quite short duration and you would most probably NEED the NPN transistor to "shape" the signal more square. If y...

Re: Cad Designed Tri-Copter

Hello.
The motor mount plate slides into a slot in a 11mm diameter piece of machined aluminium.
450 size heli carbon fibre booms are exactly 11mm inside diameter.
The boom also needs a slot in each side to accommodate the motor mount plate.
An M3 cap-screw holds the complete assembly in the boom.

BaroPID is always negative. ( -80) so RcCommand[Throttle] drops by 80 on Baro activation

@ Spejlo thanks for this!
It is working perfectly for me!
Six 1N4148 diodes and a 6k8 pull-down resistor !

I noticed a small offset on all the channels so I subtract a small 'trim' for each channel.
rcValue[chan] = difff - 57;
Now I get perfect 1500 microseconds on centre sticks !
