Ziss, I have find 1 bug.... if I slowly decrease the input down to 900us (with servotester) The motor is making (little) sound (startup active?). If I decrease fast everything is shut down correctly. I use pwm_fast_100.inc and will you chance in Qynx20A.inc : #define DbgLEDOff sbi PORTD,2 #define Db...

Re: Add datas to GUI for PID tuning
I use Ziegler–Nichols for PID calculation.... When I set the tune bit, I tune Gyro pid with AUX2 and level PID witch AUX1 Then With AUX3 I save the PID settings in EEprom. I tune the setting with the quadrocopter in my hand (Above my head)and feel the reaction. if(PMTR_Tune){ if(rcData[AUX3]>1700){ ...

Re: Alternative ESC firmware (reflashing)
Ziss, - With 3 cels I don't have any problems.... Every combination have a nice startup and runs well. - As I understand the only problem is a unwanted reset? - if you want a hysteresis I can test it. - Maybe the problem is not the software but the hardware I'm going to read the previous posts and l...

Hi Rob, You can try only one filter cap on the neutral point (MIDEN). regards, ziss_dm I have try but even a 1N capacitor is not working...... Re: Alternative ESC firmware (reflashing)
About your test fligh: Is it with standard RC range or with extended range? I have changed my software to extended for the test, but I think 100 steps is enough, if I can make some time I make a good test (outdoor with wind). The 3 10N caps in the feedback are placed extra for working with rev. 3 o...

Re: Alternative ESC firmware (reflashing)
Schematic Qynx ESC
original designed for pwm on positive site and RC_PWM on ICP input
The 3 10N caps in the feedback are placed extra for working with rev. 3 of Ziss dm version......
Maybe not needed in rev.4 , have to test this tomorrow.

@ziss_dm adding them, 1N to less (do nothing) 47N start OK but with high speed losing sinc. 10N ok, smooth start and current ok. try tomorrow the adjusted ZC filter, may be I can remove the caps..... this evening I post my schematic. For my quad board this ESC software works very well......... Rob

I have test the new software and I had also startup problems, but........
I have it fixed with 10N capacitors in the feedback.
I have fly with it and everyting looks ok.
Even with bad bearings(for test) Startup no problem and no smoking fet's

Ok, I try this tomorrow. I test with "bad bearing motors" so the start up is not "clean" but it should work... and very good for testing

Hi Sorry for my english. Two weeks ago I reprogram my ESC (Mystery 12A blue series) with firmware from this topic. Quadro is now stable like never before. Thanks a lot for this soft But I have big problem. About 50% of crashes (three times) were ending with burned transistor (AO4409). The strange i...

sloppy.. no problem, my English is sloppy as well.. Yes only by wobbles or short time drift....... If its uncontrollable Esc,s reacting not right to slow or wrong internal filtering. long time drift is controllable by the control sticks. and I think it should be the esc,s because thats the only difference. not everybody have this problem. you can tes...

if I read your post, ik think the problem is your ESC ,
if you decrease the P the problem is less but still there (try it)

I have test many ESC with my Qynx board (with 500Hz PWM) I had big problems with Multiplex ESC and castle creations.
I have discovered that the Multiplex Esc I have test are the same software as Castle Creations.
So you can be sure the problem is the Castle creations ESC's.

Re: brushed motors
Yes you can, but not directly,
You still need a brushed controller. If the PWM output in the Multiwii software is modified you can drive
directly a Mosfet(s).
But its easiest to use brushed controler.

If PID settings are low I think the problem are the ESC´S.
(If frame is without vibrations)
what kind of ESC you use? (type and settings)
