Cool - I have not had the time to tinker with my Swift II so much as I would like.

I did some tests and it seemed to act as supposed to, but I think it was very sensitive to inputs making servos work a lot (over reacting)

I think it can be used 2 ways

1st is a failsafe to avoid *Copter runaways
2nd is a auto landing feature - engage by radio or simply turn your radio off...
Baro helps of course...

either way I understand jevermeister's problem...

I tried to connect the board and servos went crazy A few things comes to my mind... There is no motor support in flying wing code. Does all channels still have to go into the Arduino? Rudder is needed to start. ailerons/elevators is needed to steer the wing. I also want Auto level ON/OFF on my gear ...

My wing is maidened and ready to fly

This wing will be equipped with FPV gear when I get my camera but until then I can play with some MultiWii on board.

relay? another point of failure? and to throw a switch that triggered a relay that effectively cut the battery off, that was powering a receiver, that was triggering a relay, which was powered from the same battery? so who's going to power it then? I think all of that it's a bit of over-thinking......

Hello! The idea of using fuses was also on my mind but as a secondary solution. 1 fuse / ESC is enough and should be relatively easy to implement into existing designs. I am using minthrottle at lowest possible turning rate What good is motor stop if main loop crashed? Alt hold is implemented and perfected?

I added my BMP085 to a Paris board
(bought long time ago but never got to use it)

I also added AXL345 instead of NK and will see how the outcome is...
(Backup NK is ready for a transplant if necessary)

I would not recommend this at all!

Possible yes - but at the cost of main loop in program being even slower - are you willing to take the risk?
There has been hours upon hours put in the code to get it running as fast as possible and you want to do the opposite...

If AUX2 will be available for promini it also means all my shields will be outdated as they does not have headers for AUX2.

When I get back home from my vacation I will get a Swift for FPV use and I will try this with the Flying Wing mode.
I will also try the airplane mode in my Skywalker and see what happens

I agree on that one Alex. I had lots of trouble trying to get servo running on motor pins.
Using A0 and A1 was easier.

To learn more about this I am currently programming a "servo multi mode feature"
It is clear that my problem is the communication on motor outputs that I have to lower...

Darn!

It looks good in GUi but does not work when I connect servos.

How do I convert motor outputs to servo outputs?

If I connect a servo to the motor pins it gets very nervous

Compare that to the servos connected to stabilize camera
(I want more controls smooth like camera)

I think I got it sorted! Seems to work as 32bit application - II only tried to start 64bit...

Now I got 32/64 of Win/Lin/Mac ;)

Still some issues in code...and I will mount the board to my Indoor Foamie (Crazy Sukhoi 29 Depron) so I clearly can see rudder moving right ways...
