Been playing with this headfree mode a bit over the last few days - it's really fun.

Re: Improving Altitude Hold Performance
I'm getting very different results from the 2 main sensors we use. BMP085 on default pids - quite good now as long as I am 20m up or so it holds within 1 or 2m MS5611 on the same frame same settings and same acc etc - yoyos slowly loosing altitude before I have to turn off Alt Hold to avoid landing....

Can someone post a summary of what behaviour to expect while testing the i2c GPS code please? I've just installed a Flytron i2c on my Warthox MWC with Free IMU 0.3.5.MS. Re: Chinese 'Rabbit' FC uses MultiWii code, no credit given
Have we tried talking nicely to the RCG user cmpang - he's Chinese and seems to be in direct communication with the developers. (It wouldn't surprise me if he was a lot more closely linked to the Rabbit FC than he presents himself to be) I also feel the thread over on RCG warning people of the GPL v...

Re: Defines for Chinese IMUs
Engineering of my GY-80 is very clean and nice. Can't say how it performs yet as I haven't had a chance to play.
With the GY-86 it'd be nice to know how they've routed the HMC883L Mag - whether it's on the aux i2c of the MPU6050 or the main i2c of the IMU.

Defines for Chinese IMUs
So I have received my first Chinese IMU - it has L3G4200D ADXL345 HMC5883L BMP085 sensors and a LLC built in. Looking at the PCB it is called a GY-80 - there are also GY-81, GY-86 and GY-521. I'm just waiting for a replacement Mini Pro to arrive before I can write the defines for the GY-80 (I also h...

much more likely that you need to tweak PIDs and LPF to calm it down.

Re: And another allinone board from ebay.
I can't find any anecdotal reports on the l3g4200d gyro - which is why I fancy having a play. I have seen a video or two of quads flying with it - but you can't tell much from that.

hah just ordered one of these so in a week or two I'll be able to tell you more. Only paid £25 for mine - so thought it would be worth a play.
i'm in the same situation as you - had a FC with lots of separate BoBs for each sensor - just wanted to tidy it up.

Re: Alt. Hold Ideas and discussion
Just starting to try and get my Alt hold dialed in too. Having similar experiences as mr.rc and crash. Getting a yo-yo-ing quad but no real hold yet. This is on the MS version of Fabio's freeIMU. Feels like the motor compensation takes too long to respond and then over-corrects. Not very good at PID...

You have defined serial sum PPM, but you have it connected the normal way. Place back the // by serial sum PPM line. Ah yes didn't notice that. Do this //#define SERIAL_SUM_PPM PITCH,YAW,THROTTLE,ROLL,AUX1,AUX2,CAMPITCH,CAMROLL //For Graupner/Spektrum you don't have a SUM connection in your photos....

Your Wii gyro isn't working correctly. I have not seen that one before so cannot suggest how to correctly connect it. It may not be supported.

Is the nunchuck original or clone?
If it's original are you 100% sure it's original?
Worth watching this. http://www.multiwiicopter.com/pages/videos
did you forget to jumper the 2 pins on the WMP?

Re: Serial Bluetooth RF Transceiver Module RS232
Finally worked out how to get a bluetooth connection to the GUI on WIDCOM stack. This was only possible on Toshiba stack before so I thought I'd share the process as it's a little odd. The guide is for Windows XP and my dongle is a Belkin mini but the process may work on 7/Vista. I assume you have a...

Re: Paris v4 WP+ BMA020 BMP085
If anyone cares and has a similar build, diagram 1 is almost correct the green and yellow wires on the bma020 are the wrong way round.
I now have a working Paris v4 with WMP and ACC. I have a BMP085 and HMC5883L on order so we'll see how that install goes next.

Multimeter checking
Just wondering how to check my Paris v4 board with a multimeter. It has HiV and LowV sides for running 5v and 3.3v sensors with a built in LCC so no need for LLC. I assume if I ground my negative meter and probe these pins on my board I can check the right voltage is coming through before attaching ...

Paris v4 WP+ BMA020 BMP085
Ok I'm building my v4 Paris MultiWii board and I have a question about wiring up the various components. Am I right in saying the WM+ gets soldered to the HV I2C on the left of the board and the BMP085 gets soldered to the LV I2C on the left of the board. As I understand it the BMA020 has a built in...
