Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

I got it to kind of work on the older kv firmware, but not on r370. Even then, it only sometimes display coordinates. It might be a certain checkbox arrangement to get it to work, but I got tired of dicking with it. I put it on the shelf, as it seems the minimosd also radiates noise in the uhf spect...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

Is it possible to get gps and osd working at the same time? I can get the gps working no problem. I can get the minimosd working no problem. I can't get them to work together. If the gps is working, the minimosd just hangs on start up. Is there a serial port issue? Tried both 20131126 and latest fir...

Re: small mod to servo tilt function

I would rather have checkboxes for gimbal control. Not just automatic switching. I want to be able to turn off roll control from the tx.

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

If you re-install the 115200 5hz firmware, you will get those settings installed, and also have opportunities to change the settings using Mini GPS. There are some firmware downloads on Eosbandi's gps site.

Re: Glitches with IMU drive me crazy

Sounds like you need to enable ppm sum, not spektrum in the sketch. Spektrum is for for specktrum satellite rx's, not ppm sum.

Re: Severe security issue with ESC calibration

Imho the code is fine. I NEVER flash the Software with ESCs/Props connected, for safety reasons. There is now way to reset the ESCs via Multiwii so you have to think about what you do. The code is straight forward and the result of what you tried was predictable. All worked as it should, your failu...

Couldn't you just clear the I term if a yaw command is issued?

Re: GPS integration

SBAS works only up to 5Hz. It's worth a test to check which one is better. 10Hz with filter or 5Hz unfiltered with SBAS... Ok. I am currently using the gps with a extra ProMini for an I2C GPS. Works well, even in some wind, on both my Tri and Quad. I wonder, if the datasheet is correct, which part ...

I used MiniGPS 1.7 after flashing to 10hz firmware on 3329 chip. I was able to enable SBAS and keep 10hz. At least it said it did. Am I missing something?

Re: MultiWii_dev_20120528

I know I could solder a wire to the connector, but I would like to do it in code. The gps has a #define for which serial port, why not for ppm?

Re: MultiWii_dev_20120528

I have the old Flyduino, where pin 19 is out to that tiny jst connector. Makes it useless. I would like to use serial 2 or 3, which do have regular pins.

Re: MultiWii_dev_20120528

I don't have access to pin 19 on my Mega, and I would like to use PPM sum. I used to use this code to move the ppm pin to pin 2, but I can't find the pin order in the new code. changing this: #define PPM_PIN_INTERRUPT attachInterrupt(4, rxInt, RISING); //PIN 19 #define MOTOR_ORDER 3,5,6,2,7,8 //for ...

Re: GPS integration

I see... Those instructions are different to the DiyDrones MTK3329. Speaking of which, I too have the MediaTek MT3329 GPS from DIYdrones, which seems to use a custom binary protocol. Is this one supported by the current code? AFAIK it can be configured to use the classic NMEA protocol at 10Hz, but ...

Re: wishlist for v2.1

I think MultiWii is a very good platform but it lacks lots of things like perfection.. I should wait with doing new things.. Just make everything "perfect".. In code, performance, GUI, .. Then start with adding a plugin system for the MutliWii so you have the multiwii core code.. without ...

Re: Problem with HMC5883L

Yes, the sensors move according to the FAQ. It just seems that it should always point north, even when its inverted, and it does not currently. I did find that the roll and pitch axis do NOT correspond to the silkscreening on the sensor bob. Silkscreen says y is roll, but I had to tell software x is...

Understood. It does show that the Mag is not always showing where north is, which could cause problems with navigation.

Problem with HMC5883L

I am trying to get my compass reading correctly. I have the readings going in the proper direction per the sensor position directions. The problem is when I turn the quad upside down. The N/S axis does not flip like it should when its flipped on its pitch axis. If I flip the quad on the roll axis, t...

I took the defaults someone posted on this thread: http://www.multiwii.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=363&start=10#p6619. I tuned from there. A screenshot from one of my quads. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-ZXDrCXoQUy4/Tx11r_dhKqI/AAAAAAAACsY/10mYaCtsZjE/s640/Cam%252520Quad%252520Good%25...

Re: Alt. Hold Ideas and discussion

I have two quads that hold altitude quite well using the VEL PD. Both are of different weights, and power systems. They just needed some fine tuning to get them dialed. I get up to a meter of fluctuation, in the wind. Most of the time less than a meter. BMA180 for accel.
