With the props off, I power up all the esc's and just plug the esc's one by one into the throttle pin of a rx and then throttle up on the tx to test the direction on rotation one by one.

I understand this now has to be done by using the the lcd.conf menu to tune vbatscale until voltage displayed equals battery voltage.

choose RC to get close to cycletime; I use 100nF (and 10k ?) Averaging is done is Multiwii.ino. Search for vbat and assign the vbatraw after scaling directly.
