We have problems only to make videos with a USB web cam and save it to the onboard SDcard. Have you tried the Pi camera module instead of USB cam ? I guess that will work much better... checked the voltage on the FDTI port - 0.05V, it is this voltage whether I am plugged into the PC/Mac or whether Im using the flight battery Dave Some FTDI modules working in 3.3 and 5volts using a jumber.. I assume that if this jumber is not used the VCC is probably close to zero ?? Just an assump...

1) There is a way to keep my "traditional" RX connected at the same time ? ..just for contigency reasons in case something goes wrong ? yes just keep the traditional RX connected. with no signal on the UART line, your traditional RC will regain control after a short timeout (less than 1s)...

A pair of modules just arrived but the 3.3V FTDI is not.
While waiting the mailman i have a noobish question.
In my 9x transmitter can i take the PPM output from the back of the transmitter using an 3.5mm audio jack and then drive it to the module ?
