I agree that it is a lot of work to make your own FC but it is one of the most rewarding experiences you will ever have in our fantastic hobby. Sorry about the VERY LATE reply gregd72002 I must not have notifications set to email me when a reply is posted to my questions. I ended up running the Atmega32u4 at 5v / 16mHz which alleviated the overclocked situation when it was running at 3.3v

Select resonator frequency in MultiWii code

Can someone please tell me in which MultiWii file/s the resonator frequency is set. I am using an FC that is using a Atmega32U4 running at 16mHz at 3.3v and want to experiment trying to run it at 8mHz so that the Atmega is not running overclocked.

I will try that out. If I do this, I will still be able to set all three flight modes by switch in the GUI won't I? The only thing that will be different is that the default mode will now be Horizon rather than Acro. Am I understanding you correctly please.

I will adjust that code, reflash and reset the GUI. So does the GUI, for want of a better term "adjust itself" according to the options that are flashed into the flight controllers micro controller.

@randuino - I am glad that you sorted your problem out. Yes strange as it seems you need to use the 32 bit MultiwiiConf even when you are using a 64 bit Windows OS. Go figure :)

@randuino - I also had some issues with this and this post and generally the whole thread on rcgroups may help It's a long shot but are your Arduino folder where the sketches are stored and your Multiwii folder both in the same directory
