X8 motor configuration, which motor goes were?
Hi all! I am stripping a flat Octocopter and rebuilding it as an X8 configuration. I have a discontinued flightcontroller from proflyer.eu, that supports Up to 8 motors. My problem is to know where M1-M8 should be? Are all multiwii X8 set up the same way when it comes to what motor is top,front,righ...

All motors just stops for a moment..
I found the cause, and it was the transmitter.. Ovserving the "monitor" of values, the throttle would jump to low value each time I moved the stick up..
DX6i transmitter.
I managed to solve it by resetting the model..
Scary!

I have a Octocopter that has been flying stable and perfect lately. On a flight yesterday I powered it up. I use a separate 2200mah 3S batt for FC (and OSD, BL Gimbal, VideoLink), and 2x 8400mah 3S for the motors. I noticed a blinking red LeD on my FC during startup. I waited some minutes to ensure ...

How can I use this in my declination?

I must admit that Dji is tempting. I need a Octofriendly version of it.. And it is so pricy.
But I am guessing that the advantages are worth it..

There is a special version of MultiWii called vibtester.. Lets you run one motor at a time..
I cannot find the url at the moment..
Sorry
Also there exists a motor tester standalone program.

Yaw was 4.0, 0.030, 17..
I set expo in my transmitter but to no avail. I am pretty sure that I need to adjust PiDs, and not onky RC Rate.
So if anyone can suggest a procedure to find proper PID values without crashing my octocopter I would be a happy camper!
