But this will not help if a motor or a prop is in the wrong position = it will flip on takeoff.

Did you trim stable mode?

1. Land and disarm.
2. Give full Throttle and than trim with the other stick.

Re: Failsafe auto leveling.

Tested failsave in the field.

Works great except the default throttle value of 1450 was a bit to high - it started gaining height instead of landing.
So i switched the TX back on and got back control to land it.

I think, we should lower the default FAILSAVE_THROTTLE to 1300 (or even lower).

Simply set Minthrottle to a value where your motors startup well.
I'm running Plush 10A at 1100.

Mincommand is at its default of 1000 with a Spectrum TX/RX.

Ok, I can confirm that the Orange Spektrum RX switches to sending 1000ns on throttle if the TX is switched off.
All other channels are flat on my DSO.

Option to select a failsavepin is in r998. :)

Hi I will test (on the weekend) how an Orange Spektrum RX will behave on signal lost - e.g. turn the TX off. If there is no signal on a pin but Throttle I will write a patch for RX.ino. I set RC-rate to 0,75 because it's easier to control but it's to slow for flips. Will try adding the P&R Rate.

BUG (v2.0): Buzzer only working if #define VBAT is enabled

Hello!

I just found that you can only use the buzzer via AUX2 (pin D12) to locate the quad in the field if you enable "#define VBAT".
Without VBAT it's simply not working on pin D8.

Maybe someone can fix this.

Re: What's all this I2C failure stuff, anyhow?

Even with disabling the internal pull-ups there are also the ones from the BMA. So in parallel with the 2k2 you get 1,8 kOhm. This is still ok - you don't need to cut any traces. You can of course disable the pull-up pin from the BMA by cutting it. Connect the resistors the same way as shown on the ...

Re: What's all this I2C failure stuff, anyhow?

All the pull-up resistors in sum should be near 2,2 kOhm. R sum = 1/(1/R1 + 1/R2)
I disabled the internal pull-ups and placed the resistors the way you can see on my picture.
Of course you can place the pull-ups everywhere between VCC and SDA and VCC and SCL.
For me the way on the pic was the easiest.

You should reflash your board to reset all the settings.

In config.h you can enable the CRIUS_SE - so it's quite easy to get the correct settings for all your sensors.

I'm not sure that PIN12 can supply enough power to drive a servo and RAW is input only (IMHO).
Try connecting the servo direct to a 5V source.

With 550 Hz the time of oscillation is 0,001818 sec.
You need 0,002000 sec. for max power on the ESC = 500 Hz is the maximum.
