Re: TX mid point drift
In ACRO Mode it is the Pilot that must keep the copter level so it doesn't drift. However, if your sticks are not centered at exactly 1500 (+/-deadband) then the Angle will not hold and will increase. This does not sound like what is happening. How far from the ground are you hovering? If close the...

Re: TX mid point drift
Uncomment the #define deadband and set it to a little more then the 'jitter' in your stick centering. Built and Re-load the code. I have done this and definitly seems better. However I have noticed the following; I am operating in acro mode only, no mag, no gps, and no baro. The quad is drifting fo...

Re: TX mid point drift
I found a dedband code in the multiwii sketch, however it was commented out.
Does this mean the board sees exactly what the GUI is reporting?
So a 1499 count will induce a flight correction?

Re: TX mid point drift
I have the same with my TX. And no, it does not cause issues - there is a deadband implemented. Cheers, Leco Great!! So I am having a drift problem and I have been trying to trim ACC with stick commands. But so far I have input around 20-30 and still no affect. Any Ideas? I did calibrate ACC with a...

TX mid point drift
Hey guys, I got a question about setting the mid points on my TX. When I adjust to 1500 then move TX sticks and alow to spring back, they then read 1499 or 1502 depending on the way I pulled the sticks. Is this caused by a problem with my sticks or is this a normal occurrence? Would this cause any f...

Re: Altitude climb
It is not unusual for the battery Voltage to drop a lot when going full throttle. This will trip the battery alarm. Happens all the time on my High performance Warp Quads especially on batteries with a lower C rating. And yes, the Voltage will recover once the high current load is removed. Ok that ...

Altitude climb
Today I took a maiden flight, since the whether was nice, and noticed something odd. At least to me. After hovering for a little and checking all functions I decided to see how fast the quad would climb. So I hit full throttle and man she took off. Shortly after initiating climb I heard a single bee...

Re: Idle speeds!!!!
Hi Skymike, The motors spinning up once arming the MultiWii is a parameter you can change based on your preferences and will not cause any issues with flight. The parameter can be changed in the WinGUI under the "FC Config" tab. In the lower left corner of this tab is a box titled "t...

Idle speeds!!!!
Hey guys, I have been noticing on many videos, that when people arm their copter. The motors start spinning at idle speed. I have set my idle speed in sketch to the (special Simon k ESC) setting. I believe 1064. But my motors do not spin up in arm?? I did perform calibration via sketch code, and hav...

Re: Sketch Upload Problems!!!
Wanted to put an update, as I have found more issues. I can not upload a sketch when I have the BT module plugged into FCB. When I unplug it everything works fine. Another issue I found was that the FCB has a reset button that I need to press before uploading. If I do this then I have a successful u...

Re: Board ARMs but motors don't spin
Yet another post to solve my Multiwii issues. - I have calibrated my ESCs (Flycolor oOPTO 30A) - Connected power to the board - Stick armed the quad (blue light comes on) GUI shows ARM - THEN, I get no throttle response from the motors even though the GUI shows signal changing. Any thoughts? If the...

Re: Battery capacity??
For what I know you can ruin the battery if they go below 3 V. I have two batteries, one is 2.200 mA/h and another 3.300. When the batteries are at 10.5 V ( 3 cells means 3.5 V each) they charges for the maximum capacity. My batteries, fully charged are at 4.2 V like yours. Try with another battery...

E-Calcs vs experience
Hi all, I would like to hear some real world experience on the prop motor combos for 450 class quads. Specifically, if you have used the E-Calcs and how that compares to actual results. Building a 450 class with turnigy multistar 2216 (800kv), 20amp afro esc,12 *3.8 slowfly props, multiwii pro ez 3....

Re: Drifting while in Angle mode
Recently noticed when trying to trim my account that if I'm to quick with sticks the board does not recognize (led blink)
You want to be sure to adjust trims so the endpoints read properly in GUI. Could be way different then what transmitter says.
Give us an update how your making out!!!

Multirotor drift (newb)
Hi all, Finally got to my first test flight, and am having some problems with drift!! Once I take off, my quad wants to drift back and to right. I would imagine its a pitch and roll issue? My question is how do I fix this with transmitter trims (turnigy 9x with er9x fw) before I start messing with P...

Re: Sketch Upload Problems!!!
FIXED!!!!!
Ok so there were multiple issues. the main issue was that the USBASP programmer was wrong.
the other issue I had was that my PC was not recognizing the driver for the programmer. I restored my PC to an earlier date and reloaded the drivers.
Thanks guys for all the assistance.
