Nice idea, I guess.
Guess, because the first image shows a flying smartphone, while the rest describes a Smartphone controlled MultiWii.

Re: Arming Motors
Have you set your Minthrottle in the firmware high enough? Beware, in new Versions you have to set it in the UI and the config.h setting is ignored. Mine defaulted to 1050 which was too low to make the motors spin.

Re: GPS NAV
YAW-Direction is not longer handled in Config.h, you have to switch it in the gui. I think that is true for an increasing number of features/parameters. Guess how I found out. It is an improvement as it reduces the number of times you have to reflash the firmware. Maybe it would be agood idea to re...

Actually, I think you can use the vibration monitoring function within MutiWii, it must be enabled somewhere in the config.h and you have to reload the firmware without it again later, but probably easier than rewiring everything.

So in the meantime you had some stable hovers, but the apparent power has reduced with each flight? In multiwii, unexpected power loss is sometimes caused by heavy vibration. Is it possible the 2.3 takes a little longer to initialize the Motor outputs than the old versions? Every other time I connect the battery on my Quad, the motors won't beep as usual. In those cases the ESCs don't arm and neither does the quad.

Maybe you misunderstood the instructions:
MINTHROTTLE in the config.h is to be set high enough to make all motors spin up reliably when armed.
Minimum THROTTLE channel of the radio should read around 1000 in the GUI. Set min/max and D/R in your radio to obtain that.

I would think in 1.3 there was no expo on throttle.
I think you are correct in saying it is an array. The array holds the R/C stick positions.
P.S: By the way, I think it is a great idea to have a simplistic version as a starting point for those interested in programming.
