GPS Direction to home

Actually I work on Rushduino GPS and the direction to home.
Can you confim me that the serial data GPS_Direction_to_home is :
- center on the north (N = 0°, W = -90°, E = 90°) ?
- indicate the absolute direction to home but not the direction relative to heading ?
- heading is N=0°, W = 270°, E = 90°

Re: playing with acc-z altitude hold

Did you try to add filter on your Gyro and ACC ?
I use a CRIUS Lite and SE with defaut PID on baro and the result is just perfect (just add a little I)
Most of problem is because gyro is to mutch sensitive and the FC try to make corrections all the time so it's difficult to have a good altitude level

yes but you have set YAW @ -1 or did you invert your Rear motors ? The solution 1 is just to correct this little error and to have the same order for motors as a QuadX
The solution 1 is a Y4 with inverted YAW

Big warning for VTAIL : in the old version (2.0) the mix of VTAIL is for the most comun version : 2 differents moteurs or the same moteurs but smaller props rear. in the old version (2.0) they were a bug on the order of rear motors so we had to put YAW @ -1 In the 2.1 RC2 the mix is ONLY for a VTAIL...

I just had an idea for the RESET of home position.
Why not using the same switch as the switch for RTH activation but only when motors are not armed :

Code: Select all

if (rcOptions[BOXGPSHOME]) && !armed)
{
GPS_reset_home_position();
}

one more thing,
To have PITCH/ROLL PID on 1 line is really a good idea, but on special models I sometime need to have different PID on pitch and roll.
Is it possible to have a option to select PITCH/ROLL PID on 1 or 2 lines.

Re: Rushduino OSD - Multiwii based open software osd

With hight power, you have more electronic noise.
When you use an OSD board the video signal cross the board and componants so it can be easyer impact by noise.
If you can, an easy solution is to put a aluminum plate between the OSD and other board. Don't forget to connect this board to the ground
